Let’s explore Central Europe on an unforgettable 11-day tour beginning with an overnight flight to Warsaw, Poland. Upon arrival, we will meet our tour manager and transfer to our hotel for a two-night stay. The following morning features a guided city tour, including the Palace of Culture, Ghetto Memorial, and Historical Museum, where we will learn about Warsaw before, during, and after World War II. We will then walk through the beautifully reconstructed Old Town, followed by visits to the medieval fortifications, Market Square, Warsaw Cathedral, Royal Palace Plaza, and a scenic drive along the Royal Route to Łazienki Park to see the Chopin Monument.

The next day we travel south to Częstochowa to visit Jasna Góra Monastery and view the Black Madonna, a famous painting of the Virgin Mary. Later we arrive in the beautiful city of Kraków for a two-night stay. Our Kraków city tour includes the Jewish Quarter, Ghetto Square, Oskar Schindler Factory, and Wawel Hill, home to the Renaissance Castle and cathedral that once served as the seat of Pope John Paul II. We will also visit Market Square and St. Mary’s Basilica before traveling to the remarkable Wieliczka Salt Mine, where underground chambers and chapels have been carved entirely from salt. The following day we visit Auschwitz-Birkenau to learn about the former concentration camp, then continue to Wrocław for a guided tour, including the Racławice Panorama, a monumental cycloramic painting. After lunch we depart for Prague for a two-night stay. Our Prague sightseeing includes Prague Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace, St. George Basilica, and Golden Lane.

Next, we travel north to Dresden, Germany for a city tour featuring the Semper Opera House, Zwinger Palace, and the Frauenkirche, a church destroyed at the end of World War II and rebuilt between 1994 and 2005. We will also see “The Procession of the Princes,” a 335-foot mural, before continuing to Berlin for a two-night stay. In Berlin, our guided tour highlights iconic landmarks such as Checkpoint Charlie, the Holocaust Memorial, and the Brandenburg Gate, followed by a special farewell dinner to conclude the journey.
